I don't think we've ever described a globe as chic before, but it's a fitting adjective. This is a sensational piece and unlike any we have seen. LeRoy M. Tolman was the cartographer of the globe, and it is beautifully illustrated. It swivels on a thick and heavy lucite stand. The base is weighted and covered in black acrylic and gold metal. It is very decorative and would be just as at home in a living room as in a study, den or bedroom. Stand, 47" h., 24" w., 12.5" d. Globe, 16" diam. American, c. 1970's
