Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb Bench

It was a good harvest this week.  It yielded Gibbings gold.  This exceptional piece was designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb.  It does elegant double duty as a bench/ ottoman and a coffee table.  It has been professionally, meticulously and lovingly restored to a new golden glory.  The carved frame with plume detail is lacquered in a soft gold with a satin finish.  The cushion is newly upholstered in a rich and luxurious warm gold mohair.  48" l., 22" d., 18" h.  American, c. 1947 SOLD
