A swell set. Lurelle Guild (1898-1985) was an industrial designer at the forefront of American Modern design during the Art Deco period and beyond. This swellegant set of compotes were designed by Guild and produced by the American Aluminum Company. They are composed of aluminum and glass and feel as modern today as when they were designed 85 years ago. The compote, as well as other Guild designs, can be found in the permanent collection of The Met. 13.75" diam., 5.5" h. American, c. 1934
