Pair of Staffordshire Greek Revival Vases
Pictures don't really do this stunning pair of Staffordshire Greek Revival vases justice. The quality and condition are excellent and the colors are rich and vibrant. They have Neoclassical scenes on the front and back and have gold paint decorated handles, rims and bases. Similar styles, in what seems to be a very rare color, have been attributed to F & R Pratt as well as Samuel Alcock. The other examples I've found have only been 'signed' with a pattern number and other factory marks similar to this pair.

Both factories operated out of Staffordshire and produced similar Greek Revival pieces of the highest quality.
It's pretty remarkable how well these have survived the test of time, both from a condition as well as a design perspective, considering they are around 170 years old. 13" h., 6.5" diam. British, c. 1850 SOLD
Condition: Excellent-very good vintage condition with age appropriate wear.
