Happy Independence Day!

Wishing all of our friends and family south of the border as well as all the expats in Canada a Happy 4th!  Since we couldn't be at the beach celebrating with friends this year, we will be celebrating with a good old fashioned clambake tonight.
In honor of the holiday we have installed an all American window.   The window features an 1820 oil on canvas portrait of a young man, a pair of tole candle lamps and a new addition to the shop, a sensational Henredon mahogany sideboard.  The Hepplewhite style sideboard has a serpentine front, gently tapered legs and classic brass pulls.  It has three key lock compartments below one key lock center drawer and two curved side drawers.  There is exceptional inlay work throughout the piece including chevron banding on the legs.  This is an impressive and timeless piece in wonderful condition.  65" l., 26" w., 39 1/2" h.  American, 2nd half 20th c.  SOLD
