Classic American Eagle carving by Edward Boggis. Edward Boggis had a secluded workshop near Ascutney, Vt. and in a 1978 article claimed to be the last full-time cigar store Indian carver in America. Obviously he took some time out to carve eagles as well. This nicely detailed giltwood carving was purchased from Boggis in 1968 in Ascutney, Vt. 27" l., 9" h. American, c. 1968
