This magnificent three panel work of art was hand embroidered using gold thread on silk over 150 years ago. The composition and craftsmanship as well as the condition are truly remarkable. It's hard to imagine how much time went into the design and execution. The design features ten birds and many different types of flowers and foliage. Each panel is 49 1/2" high and 20 1/2" wide and when hung as a triptych make quite a statement. The pieces were reframed in the 1960's. As shown, 66" l., 49 1/2" h. Chinese, c. 1860's
