Details, details, details. This rare chair was designed by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougal for the American Design Foundation and crafted by Winchendon Furniture. It doesn't shout at you, but rather reveals its attributes quietly and slowly. It's all in the details. Some nice Shaker influences are present, similar to Stewart and MacDougal's Drexel designs.
