Tony Evans (1942-2009) was a California artist, best known for his raku pottery. He studied in the U.S. and Japan, and his influences included Franz Kline, Jackson Pollack, Morita and Jung Kwang. While best known for his pottery, he also worked in other media. This signed mixed media work by Evans blends glass and metallics, and expressionism and oriental calligraphy.
