Sufjan Stevens- Chicago
More music from the road.....I heard this song on my road trip this week. It had been so long since I last heard it, I had forgotten how much I love it. It is a beautiful song about one of the best cities in the world. The music starts 2 minutes into the video.

Olexander Wlasenko; "The Embrace"
"The Embrace" is a charcoal drawing on paper whose source is a still from a 1964 French film entitled "Le Peau douce" (The Soft Skin) by Truffaut. The film deals with infidelity, conflict and ultimately revenge. A pivotal moment is captured in this piece by Olexander. It is an attempt at reconciliation between the main character Pierre Lachenay, a successful writer and director of a literary magazine, and his wife. 26" l. x 19" w. framed. Canadian, 2010 SOLD
Olexander Wlasenko
We are pleased to now be representing Olexander Wlasenko. Olexander is a Canadian artist of Ukrainian descent. His Ukrainian heritage has had a strong influence in both his life and his art. Olexander's work has often mirrored social realism and Ukrainian and Eastern European history. Currently, European film stills of the sixties are his main source of inspiration. Olexander's medium of choice is pigment on paper. This is, in his words, "because of the form's immediacy and because it evokes neo-classicism".

Ella Fitzgerald _ I let a song out of my heart.wmv
Growing up in a home with a father who was in a band in the 40's called "The Jars of Jam", it pretty much goes without saying there was jazz in the house. While "all that jazz" was a burden to bear as a kid, it is now an influence that is very much appreciated and part of what has shaped a love for a wide variety of music. This was a regular on the Hi Fi., and now a favorite. So smooth......
