"Crams Superior Map of New York"
This colorful, nicely patinated, linen backed wall map of New York was published by The George F. Cram Company of Chicago. It features detailed views of New York City and Long Island. 50 1/2"l., 40" h. American, c. 1930 SOLD
"Bradley and Hubbard" Letter Holder
Bradley and Hubbard was founded in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut and was best known for producing fine metal pieces; sculptures, bookends, vases, etc., as well as decorative lighting. This large, ornate and very decorative gilded metal letter opener features an image of a Renaissance boy in the center surrounded by acanthus leaves and ribbon detail. It is signed on the base. 11" l., 5" w., 11 1/2" h. American, c. 1915 SOLD
Walnut Arm Chair
This is one cool chair. It has a wonderfully sculptural walnut frame with brass accents on the arms and brass caps on the feet. Carlton House Desk
Legend has it that the Carlton House style of desk was originally designed in the 18th century for the Prince of Wales, who later became George IV, by George Hepplewhite. It was named after Carlton House which was the London residence of the Prince of Wales. This handsome burl walnut example has the classic "U" shaped top with four center drawers, sloped drawers on either side and an embossed leather writing surface. Below is a long center drawer with two side drawers. The desk sits on four tapered, fluted legs. "Janus Collection for John Stuart" Pair of Chests
This pair of chests coordinate with the previous pieces listed from the Janus Collection by the Mount Airy Furniture Company for John Stuart, N.Y.C. The chests are also made of bleached walnut and have patterned inlay on the tops and sides. Each chest has three drawers, and they would function beautifully beside a bed or sofa. BASTILLE // Pompeii at The British Museum
We haven't posted any music in a while, but we thought this would be a good song to start a new season of art, antiques, furnishings, and music from the road. This was recorded exactly a year ago, on March 26, 2013, at the British Museum. It's a beautiful acoustic version of a great song.... and kudos to The British Museum for trying to stay relevant to a younger audience!

"Janus Collection for John Stuart" Credenza
This piece is a ten out of ten. In terms of design, craftsmanship, condition and function, it has it all. This stylish credenza was designed as part of the Janus Collection by the Mount Airy Furniture Company for John Stuart, N.Y.C. It is made of bleached walnut and has patterned inlay on the cabinet doors as well as on the top and sides. There is an abundance of storage. The center has six drawers, four small and two large. Flanking, doors open to four more drawers on either side. It would function beautifully as a dresser in a bedroom or as an entertainment unit. 72" l., 19" w., 31 1/2" h. American, c. 1960 SOLD

"Muller and Barringer for Kittinger" Coffee Table
We were fortunate to find another smaller version of this iconic table that we had in the shop last year. It was designed by Theodore Muller and Isabel Barringer for Kittenger Furniture Co. This beautiful "lotus" table was introduced in 1940 and has an open cylinder black lacquered base with a gilt, lacquered and oil drop finished wood top. 42" diam., 15" h. American, c. 1950 SOLD
