"Tiffany & Co., Blair House" China
Blair House is the President's guest House in Washington, D.C. The U.S. Government purchased Blair House in 1942 at the request of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Prior to the purchase of Blair House, guests of the President usually spent one night in the White House followed by a hotel or embassy for the remainder of their visit. In 1988, Tiffany designed and created a range of pieces for Blair House including 100 place settings of fine china to coincide with the completion of a major restoration project. For a limited time, the "Blair House" pattern was offered by Tiffany in its' retail stores. The design is very pretty and fresh, and definitely timeless. This set consists of four place settings and serving pieces. Each place setting is made up of a dinner plate, luncheon plate, bread and butter plate, and a cup and saucer. There are six additional serving pieces; 2 large oval platters, 1 oval vegetable bowl, 1 coffee pot and a cream and sugar. American, c. 1980's SOLD

Thank You
As we wind down and get ready to close our Port Hope location, we are feeling extremely grateful for a community that has been very supportive over the past six years and we want to give a little back. It didn't take too long to figure out how to do this. One of the best things to happen to us in Port Hope was adopting our dog Parker from the Shelter of Hope a little over four years ago. Before Parker found her permanent home with us, she was adopted twice and sent back to the shelter twice. For those of you who have met Parker in the shop, you might find that hard to believe. While she does shed more than your average pack and does have the energy of five dogs, she is one of the sweetest (and prettiest) dogs around. So, we want to give a little back to the Shelter of Hope. For the next month, 15% of all profits from Michael Thomas will be donated to the Shelter so that more cool animals like Parker can find their way home.

"Sprague and Carleton" Caned Seating Group
All you need is a covered front porch or a back porch overlooking a stream and this wonderful set, and you're set for the rest of the season. Actually, going with that same scenario, a couple of Hudson Bay blankets and you are good for almost four seasons. This three piece seating group was made by Sprague and Carleton of Keene, New Hampshire and is comprised of an arm chair, a rocking chair and a two-seater settee. It has a warm, comforting nostalgic feel and has stood the test of time very nicely. The set is perfect as it is but would also be nice with some custom made seat cushions in a soft beige/cream or blue/cream cotton ticking stripe fabric. We can do that for you. American, c. 1920's SOLD
