This somewhat moody and mysterious landscape features two relatively abstract figures holding hands in the foreground (a mother and daughter?) set against an earthy, desert-like background. The sky is a twirl of smoky grays and blues. There is no signature, but on the reverse of the wonderfully complimentary frame there are the remnants of a label which reads "color society" and the date of 1949 written in pencil. 30" l., 25" h. c. 1949
