Gerald Thurston for Stiffel; Table Lamp



Quintessential MCM table lamp by Gerald Thurston for Stiffel.  This modern and sophisticated table lamp has a black enamelled metal and brass base and four brass rods with ball finials that support a black enamelled cup and enamelled metal diffuser.  The lamp retains its original burlap wrapped shade.  The base and shade are in good vintage condition with wear to the metal and shade.  SOLD

Waltham Mirror with Clock



It may be time for a new mirror.  This is a very beautiful and unusual piece.  Neoclassical gilded wood and gesso mirror and working clock (newly cleaned and serviced) by Waltham.  I can see this in a historic home in the Hudson Valley with charcoal walls and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river.  Yes, it would be a great mirror for my dream home!  38" l., 24" w.  SOLD

We took a break from the drive to take advantage of a nice photo op. for this 1940's enamelled metal sign. Super chic pair of chrome flat bar lounge chairs designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin.  The chairs have been newly upholstered, and the polished chrome is in great condition.  They are darker in person than in the photos; deeper gray with black and brown threads in the weave of the fabric.  Very comfortable.  American, c. 1970's  28.5" w., 31" d., 26" h.  SOLD

John Widdicomb Asian Modern Cabinet



Beautiful Asian Modern cabinet or server by John A. Kroehler Furniture MCM Desk




This very versatile piece by Kroehler is one of three pieces we've brought in from what seems to be a fairly rare series.  We couldn't find any other examples.  The series is sharply designed and each piece has interesting design details.  This piece functions nicely as a desk with bookcase or display cabinet above.  It would also work well as a server.  The drawer knobs are patinated brass with turquoise enamelled inset centers.  The legs have ebonized decoration with circular brass discs.  60" h., 33" w., 22" d.  American, c. 1960's  SOLD
