"Guildhall" Console




Elegant and sophisticated mahogany console table made by Guildhall Craftsmen for the Eaton's College Store.  This piece features bronze decoration on the top and base, and gracefully curved legs with acanthus leaf capitals and claw feet.  It's a beauty.  38" l., 14" w., 33 1/2" h.  Canadian, mid 20th c. Modern Chest of Drawers

Chrome and Glass Tables

"Red Lion Furniture Co." Desk


The Red Lion Furniture Company was founded in 1907 in Red Lion, PA and produced pieces of exceptional quality and design.  During the period this desk was made, Red Lion was in collaboration with designers such as Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen as well as other leading designers of the period.  Pieces produced by Red  Lion were amongst the first pieces to be exhibited through The MoMA's  Department of Industrial Design.  The Department was established in 1940.  This desk is another example of the great designs produced by Red Lion.  It is made of blonde mahogany and has a long center drawer and three drawers on either side, including two deep file drawers.  48" l., 26" w., 30" h.  American, c. 1940's SOLD

Chrome Arm Chair

Chic, Milo Baughman style polished chrome arm chair with ribbed, upholstered seat and back cushions.  The chrome is in fantastic condition and the cushions, as well as the fabric frame, are zippered for easy removal and cleaning.  Seat is 22" w., 18" l. Back is 31" h.  American, c.1970's  SOLD

Italian Glass Jars


Cool collection of aqua colored, lidded, glass jars.  There are seven jars, and the sizes range from six to twelve inches high.  They are embossed with various designs and are all marked on the base "Made in Italy for Crownford China" and dated with  years from 1965-1969.  Italian, c. 1960's SOLD

Smart and sophisticated Chinese Modern server by Thomasville.  This piece has a burl inlay top which opens to a heat-resistant serving surface.  The two burl inlay doors open to a felt lined flatware drawer and one adjustable shelf.  The substantial brass hardware has a subtle Asian influence.  40" l., 18" w., 33" h.  Top when open measures 60 1/2".  American, c. 1970 SOLD

"Union National Furniture Co." Dining Table and Chairs



Exceptional Chinoiserie dining table and chairs by Union National of New York.  The dining table has a mahogany top with ebonized and hand painted decoration.  It has a double pedestal base which is also ebonized with gold leaf and painted decoration, and bronze feet.  There are two leaves and a custom made, thick, opaque black glass top (not shown).  There are five side chairs and one arm chair.  These classic, lyre back chairs are ebonized and feature hand painted scenes and gold leaf decoration.  They have been recently reupholstered in a beautiful, embossed, lattice fabric.  Table (as shown) 62" l., 42" w., 30" h.  American, c. 1950's SOLD

"Henredon" Credenza

Elegant credenza by Henredon.  This cabinet has rich burl inlay on the top and door fronts.  The center doors open to three drawers.  The side doors open to shelved compartments.  It has tapered legs with brass feet and understated brass pulls on the doors.  There is an inset marble top as well.  72" l., 19" w., 30" h.  American, c.1950's  SOLD

Chinoiserie Lacquered Cabinet



This very vibrant piece was custom made for Sibley's of New York in the early 1950's.  It has two lower drawers and two doors above which open to three smaller drawers and a compartment with one shelf.  It has very decorative bronze mounts and hardware and large handles on either side for carrying.  48" l., 19" w., 42" h.  c. 1950's SOLD
