This is an important piece in Toni's body of work. Completed in 2010, "The Catch" was the first piece in which Toni experimented with the use of embedded objects, the red thread in this case. In addition, this was her first drawing which was submitted to a juried competition. It was submitted to the "Drawing" competition at the John B. Aird Gallery in Toronto. It won first prize. Graphite, watercolor and thread on paper. Unframed, 28" l., 20" h.
