Pair of Danish Modern Chairs for John Stuart

These beautifully designed and very sculptural chairs were made for John Stuart of New York.  They are often attributed to Finn Juhl.  John Stuart did retail Finn Juhl designs during this period.  A desk of his that we featured last year had both the John Stuart and the France and Son (maker) labels.  They also bear a strong resemblance to the 'Model 48' armchairs he designed for Baker at the same period.

They retain their original upholstery, but would really benefit from a relatively simple refresh/ reupholstering.  31" h., 25" w., 23" d.  Danish, c. 1950's  SOLD
Condition:  Frames in good vintage condition with age appropriate wear.  Upholstery in fair but usable vintage condition.
