Modern Mahogany Secretary
It is unusual to find a modern secretary as most tend to be very traditional. This one is modern and it is a beauty. It is made of blond mahogany and is in two pieces. The top has two sliding glass doors, three stationary shelves and a door that opens to a compartment with cubby holes, drawers and a writing surface. Pair of "Casa Bique" Slipper Chairs
Pretty, luxurious pair of lavender satin slipper chairs. This pair of chairs was made by the Casa Bique Company of North Carolina in the 1970's, but have the feel of a much more glamorous time and place, such as Hollywood, c. 1930's. Timeless pair of walnut campaign style chests by Drexel with brass pulls and corners. Each chest has three drawers and the center drawers are double the depth of the top and bottom with a faux front. Toni Hamel; "The Catch"
This is an important piece in Toni's body of work. Completed in 2010, "The Catch" was the first piece in which Toni experimented with the use of embedded objects, the red thread in this case. In addition, this was her first drawing which was submitted to a juried competition. It was submitted to the "Drawing" competition at the John B. Aird Gallery in Toronto. It won first prize.
