"Edward Zajac" Table Lamp
The peak of chic. Fresh out of Parson's Design School in NYC, Edward Zajac landed a job with and became the protege of legendary interior decorator Billy Baldwin. He worked for Baldwin for nine years before venturing out on his own and eventually partnering with Richard Callahan. During the 1970's, Zajac and Callahan interiors were known for their bold and daring mix of color and pattern. In addition, Edward Zajac was also known for designing his own pieces. This rare and very unique lamp was designed by Zajac in 1972 and retains it's original paper label. The body of the lamp is made up of two sections of textured composite with a lucite center piece. It would look fantastic with a variety of shade types and perhaps would be best suited with a long, flat conical shade. 28" h., 15" w. American, c. 1972 SOLD
