A former boss and great mentor once told me "....there are no bad colors, only bad applications". I think the same holds true for design styles. Victorian is definitely not one of the more popular periods for interior design right now. However, there are some amazing Victorian pieces out there that, when peppered into a room, can make a great impact and add some real visual interest. This is one of those pieces. It was made by the Markga Chair Co. of N.Y.C. in 1878 and is a unique and beautiful object. The frame is made of painted and decorated iron and stained oak, and the body is caned. It is on casters and folds down to a very compact, transportable size. It's simplicity and style would allow it to tie in with many styles seamlessly. 78" l., 26" w. American, c. 1878 SOLD
